As a photographer, I'm constantly looking to improve my skill set and achieve goals. One of the goals that is a constant task is expanding my portfolio with new material will bring it to the next level. For me that means working in the studio and photographing people as much as possible. I am always looking for new people, places and lighting to work with. So when an opportunity presents itself to me, I don't pass it up. The latest opportunity came from a local studio that had put a shoot together. Here are a few samples from the night.
Of course a portfolio building shoot wouldn't be complete with experimenting with a new or unusual technique to push myself into new territory. The studio had a "rain" setup that I was able to play with, which yielded some very different looking shots from what I have done in the past. With a few small modifications I think it could produce some spectacular shots.
